Based on Dr. Marlin Lance's book, Reclaiming the Masculine Spirit, the retreat is conducted in a natural setting of the great outdoors where beauty and adventure abound. Nature is a place where the unpredictable and dangerous are common place. Often God provides moments of surprise as He shows His power and might...this is why the Celts were drawn outside.
The Reclaiming the Masculine Spirit is not a retreat about how to behave or what to do to be a better nice guy. It is a week-end journey to discover what needs to be reclaimed as a man of God. It is an adventure to discover a man's passion, authenticity and "grit". It is a place where a man can "charge hell" and take back what the ursurper has stolen...his heart!

"That which we have obtained too easily, we esteem too lightly. It is dearness only which gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price on its goods." -Thomas Paine
We receive requests for services on a daily basis from people that have genuine needs but are not financially able to afford counseling or training. We have formed a financial support team to build our resources so we don't have to turn anyone away. We are very disciplined how we use the funds God provides. All gifts are tax deductable.
Charles Spurgeon credited the success of his ministry to the intercessors who prayed in the basement of the church while he preached. Will you join our prayer team?
The more men I meet, the more I've discovered how turned off they are towards the church in America.
Men are continually complaining about the threat to their identity they feel as they are being "feminized". As a result they lose their passion, their "wildness" and courageous spirit and become shadows of what a man really is. They read about David, Joseph, Peter James and John...then wonder where these men are today!
Those men had ways that were significantly different from we see today.
The Celtic Christians are a good example of what men are looking for in their search for authenticity.
The Celts were more a “Follow me and do as I do” group rather than a “Do as I teach” group.
People that observed them, those outside of the Christian faith, saw the Celtic Christians as genuine...the real thing.
Their lives were so authentic that it drew people to Christ.
Our prayer is for a revival of Christian authenticity in the world of men.
We have discovered in our pursuit of God that He does not remove the struggles, dangers or risks. In fact, often the opposite is true.
Jesus walked the path before us...it led to crucifixion which led to victory. Jesus said that if want to be his disciple we must take up our cross aznd follow him...ready you ready to become dangerous?
